Studio owner and engineer David Landon has been working professionally in the music business his entire adult life. He is an accomplished guitarist, singer, bassist, composer and arranger as well as being an experienced recording engineer.

After 5 years of living in Europe as a musician and recording studio owner, Mr. Landon relocated to the Bay area to pursue his music career in 1992. Shortly after his return, David began working at Emerald City Productions recording studio in San Francisco. Within one year David went from intern to managing and operating the studio. After 3 successful years, Mr. Landon decided to build his own studio, and thus the project to create Whip Records began.

David approaches recording from a musician's point of view. He understands that the essence of recording is making the artist feel comfortable in order to make great music. Getting great sound in the studio is only a prerequisite to making great recordings. Music has to feel good as well.

In addition, David Landon's ability to read music and his extensive knowledge of many musical styles has proven invaluable in the studio as it allows him to work quickly when overdubbing, editing and mixing.

Since opening Whip Records in 2001 David has turned his attention to production and has helped a wide variety of artist produce their demos and cds. In 2006 David engineered and produced Alvin'Sykes' "Better Than Your Used to be" cd that won the Bay Area Blues society's award for best blues c.d. of 2006.

Dan Feiszli
Dan Feiszli has been playing and recording music since his early teens. A bass player first, his interest in getting a good bass sound led him to explore recording music. By the time he entered the University of Miami School of Music for a jazz performance degree he was hooked on recording as well as playing the upright and electric basses. Since then, Dan has played on and engineered hundreds of recordings, and he has recorded or performed with artists in almost all styles, including James Moody, Raul Midon, Anne Hampton Callaway, Julio Iglesias, Jon Secada and many others. He currently lives in Albany, CA, where he works as a freelance bassist and recording engineer and producer.

Ross Wilson
A veteran of the bay area music scene, Ross C. Wilson has been playing professionally since 1976. He enjoys pre-eminent status as one of the few trumpet/trombone doubles in the country. Spending ten years as creative/production director at one of San Francisco's heritage radio stations, then another decade engineering and producing at a recording studio/audio post house, Ross brings his award winning multi-media expertise as a sound designer, re-recordist, and voice over talent to Whip Records. His CD, DVD, and soundtrack credits range from country to opera, big band to rock, symphonic orchestras to R&B to jazz to salsa.
