David Landon is a guitarist, singer and composer who currently resides in the Bay Area. Over the many years that David has been playing, he has studied and performed a wide variety of musical styles including classical, jazz, blues, rock, country and R&B. His present musical endeavors reflect his musical diversity.
David currently leads his own Blues band and has performed repeatedly in Bay Area nightclubs such as Biscuits & Blues, The Boom Boom Room and Lou's Pier 47 as well as at numerous private parties. The band consists of guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and a two-piece horn section and is ideal for events where people want to dance and party! David has released 3 c.d.s showcasing his searing blues chops and unique vocal style.
The David Landon Band has also appeared on television shows such as Kofy TV 20's Late Night with James Gabbert and on Bay T.V.'s morning show. In addition, David Landon has performed at numerous music festivals including the Monterey Bay Blues Festival, Marin County Blues Festival and The Vallejo Jazz festival.
David also leads a variety of small jazz ensembles (duos to quintets) that are ideal for corporate parties or functions where jazz music is desired. These ensembles can perform either instrumentally or with vocals and can be comprised of a variety of instruments such as: guitar, bass, piano, sax, flute and drums.
Finally, David also performs as a solo classical guitarist for a variety of private parties in and around the Bay Area. Clients have included: The Gap Corporation, The Sherman House, The Fairmont Hotel, Sun Microsystems, Pacific Marine Yachts and many others.
